Yep, she’s 4. Don’t know how life goes by so fast, but it does, and she is, indeed, 4. Funny, smart, and beautiful. Definitely getting taller…outgrowing all of her pants. Having fun at whatever she does….learning lots in school, making friends, loving. That’s our Olivia! Sometimes she wakes up while I am in the shower in the morning and lays in our bed…I will come out & see her & say who’s that in our bed? Then she says it’s ME, OLIVIA! Like I don’t know…it’s seriously so so cute.
We had a great time on her birthday. I won a free night at a La Quinta, and there is a REALLY nice one in Twin Falls, about 2 hours east of here. It has an indoor pool, so that was a big hit! We went to see Shoshone Falls – gorgeous. I will try to post some pictures for you. She had so much fun in the pool – she had floaties on and was jumping in. I also got a little inner tube at the dollar store for her – she loved it. The pool was SO nice. We were sad to leave it. Other than that, there really isn’t much to do in Twin Falls – we had a nice breakfast at the hotel, and of course swam. We were there less than 24 hours…then we came home and met mom & dad at Chuck E Cheese. She told me she was going to dream about it that night as she was going to sleep (we always talk about good things for her to dream about in the hopes she doesn’t wake up crying from a bad dream- it usually works!) so she really really enjoyed chuck e cheese. The games at least!
That was written in April, whoops! I seriously have blog! pop up on my calendar every single Sunday…but life gets in the way. We went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago with grandpa – he had never been. It was fun – O got to feed Julius the giraffe again and loved it. Will see if I can embed the video on here. Then he took us to McD’s – her favorite. She doesn’t even weigh 32 pounds yet, so McD’s every once in awhile isn’t going to kill her…me maybe, but not her!
She has started swimming lessons. Just 5 weeks, 35 minutes a pop, but at least it gets her in the water to learn a few basics. She loves it and is not afraid of the water at all, thank goodness. Mike and I were both water bugs growing up, so I hope she is, too!
Let’s see…how to sum up the last 2 months…busy, but fun. It’s been the wettest spring ever here, but it’s finally getting warm…and hot (95 tomorrow!). Everything is still very green and pretty. It’s actually been nice! Last Friday, we took her to school then Mike and I took a 2-3 mile bike ride. She stayed at grandma & grandpa’s on Friday night, so we took a 6 mile bike ride on Saturday morning. So fun! I hadn’t been on a bike since I was 16, so I’m enjoying it. I like the exercise, too!
Boise has the BEST greenbelt – you don’t have to go on the streets, you can literally bike around the whole city. It’s fantastic, and gorgeous. Mosquitos and heat are coming soon, so we are trying to enjoy it while we can!
I’m sure we’ve done more…I am watching Glee and LOVE it. Am in the middle of season 2 – just watched the Rocky Horror episode last night and it was excellent! Olivia loves it, too! Mike likes the music – the music from season 1 is great. Season 2 is good, too…I also finally watched the last season of Lost! It only took me a year…but it’s done and off of the DVR. It was good…I had to look up people’s opinions on what happened, but kind of understand now…or at least my own interpretation of it!
Olivia is still doing so great. Everyone loves her and gravitates towards her. She is almost 40″ tall, so has grown an inch and a half since February. Whew! She loves dresses and skirts (luckily since most of her pants are too short!) and is mostly picking out her clothes now. She is a picky eater, but when she is going through a growth spurt like the recent one, she’ll eat and eat and eat – it’s great to see. She loves carrots and fruits, so that’s lucky.
I won a $250 gas card – that’s nice – free gas for a couple of months! Have won some other good stuff, too – still a nice hobby. I have barely been entering any blog contests anymore, though they have rather good odds…I just have been trying to cut back and they take awhile. So I enter a few here and there and that does it. She is only 4 once and I have to enjoy it while I can – I don’t want to look back at this time of her life with regrets that I was on the computer too much, ya know?
Mike’s store is doing GREAT! He has over 30 people a day in the store now (open from 10-5:15 or so) and is buying lots, selling lots, and just really enjoying it. He has lots of regulars, some charity cases, a shoplifter that gave him his license for a loan, then stole a knife (!), some people who end up in jail for silly things (fishing after dark, etc) and all of the other things that go along with having a pawn shop! A squirrel got into the store and he and his regulars had to try to get them out – they finally did (silly squirrel set off the alarm at 6:30 am on a Sunday! Mike called the cops – before he knew it was a squirrel obviously – and headed over there to see what was up…thank god it was only a squirrel!) Anyway, he is really happy with it – I am happy that he is finally doing something he enjoys so much.
So, that’s about it. I’m sure I’ve forgotten tons, but oh well. Now that this is caught up, maybe I can start over, which is always my intention, by blogging more
. And I need to post pics…I know…I’ll get there!
Have a good one!

sorry for the delay!
I hope she had a wonderful birthday!!!!
Love, Cristina & family
