It rained a lot the last couple of weeks, and Olivia loves playing in the mud. So, we dress her in old clothes (thus the shortness of the pants!) and let her play.
I downloaded 45 free apps for Olivia on my ipod touch today – spelling, tracing her letters to practice, memory games, puzzles, drawing, pretty much everything you can think of! She loves them! I love the fact that I won this itouch, but still can’t really figure out why someone would actually pay the $400 that it costs! I mean, I have to have access to wifi to use it. It’s not like the iphone where I could just use it anywhere. But these apps, that you can access without internet, are wonderful – not $400 wonderful, but wonderful nonetheless! They will be great for car trips 
AT&T has the iphone for $49 right now. Now THAT would be awesome! But, my monthly bill would go up because I would have to have a data plan. So, I’ll keep dreaming for now…
My eardrum burst again. So painful – luckily I had the pain meds this time & didn’t have to drive to the ER at 3:30 am like last time! My eustachian tube is just not draining when I get any kind of infection. So, I may have to get tubes put in. blech.
So, this week I really didn’t get much accomplished because I was in bed for 2 1/2 days. I did get a lot done when I was actually at work, though – always a good thing!
We are going to go to Twin Falls for one night – don’t know when yet, but sometime! I won a one night stay at a La Quinta that I really don’t want to waste, so I was looking at places with La Quintas – Twin Falls isn’t the most exciting place, but it’s really pretty and has huge waterfalls that Olivia will LOVE, and it’s only 2 hours away. Our wonderful dogsitter will stay while we take a quick one night trip – need to get away even for a bit!
Happy Birthday to my dad, and I can’t believe I am almost 39. When I was talking to him, he can’t believe he has a daughter that’s almost 39, either! Next year will be hard on me I think…I guess we’ll see.
I’ve read the 1st 2 Harry Potter books – so good. The movies really followed the books well. I should be receiving the Hunger Games this week – there was a problem with shipping them and I just got it resolved this week – can’t wait to read that one. And I have always loved the Clan of the Cave Bear books – I ordered The Shelters of Stone off of paperback swap, because the 6th and final book is coming out I think this month. It’s been awhile since I have read them, but I think I still have the others if I need to go back and read them again! I am really trying to read more. I haven’t been entering blog contests nearly as much – in fact I am over 2 weeks behind – because I am trying to wean myself off of them. I love winning, but really, it was taking up too much time! Time that I can never get back. I would rather read to set a good example for Olivia.
